Plain as the Nose on Your Face

This is truly fascinating. And boy-oh-boy does it make a point. Pay close attention!!

Who's telling you what to see?

"Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

No Matt, that isn't awesome it's dumb.

The speaker asked you to focus on the passes made by the white team.
Had he said: Do you see anything strange, and you didn't notice the bear, then yes, one should question their powers of observation.

I believe the simple point is what Joe wrote: "Who is telling you what to see?"

Right, the only reason you don't see the bear is because someone is distracting you. Funny, my daughter saw the bear...because she lost count right away.

I've seen this before; but it's funny - the info-trolls at work block video attachments like this, so on my work computer, it comes up as a blank space, and I thought, 'what kind of chicanery is Joe up to this time?' Until I finally brought it up on my home computer. . .

Besides which, I'm a fairly avid cyclist, so I really appreciated the 'explicit' aim of the ad (you did notice that it was about noticing cyclists, right?). I've had drivers look directly at me and still pull out in front of me; once, I had to take evasive measures, and ended up directly alongside the driver. When I pounded on her window, she acted like I'd just materialized out of thin air. . .

But Joe, your point is a good one, and it's the reason most 'magic' tricks succeed - because the magician is telling you to look at something else. . .

Yep. So, as the bible says, "Be careful what you listen to." Who's telling you what to pay attention to? "The who are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God,"

Time for a new article...anyone have something up their sleeve?

I vote that when Adam C returns later this week, we make him write a special guest post about youth ministry. Or a topic of his choosing.

Thanks for dropping in to say hello, JonahsSister. I'll definitely go check out the sites!

The noose? Well, that picture is there to accompany the commentary on Galatians 3. It illustrates the irony of how people who have been freed by Christ Jesus are often so eager to return to the law of sin and death that Christ dies to free them from.

Blessings!
